SRK to produce biggest war film?

Details about a project that Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment is all set to produce have emerged and will undoubtedly surprise many. It’s thought that the film will be based on the story of ‘Operation Khukri’ which was the Indian Army and Air Forces most successful mission in Sierra Leone in 2000. It’s being touted as the most expensive film the production house will produce.

A source spoke to Mumbai Mirror to confirm the news, “It has been researched extensively and will be mounted on a really large scale. It will be a true depiction of a massive military operation and will celebrate our heroes. The director and cast are being finalised, the film will roll later this year”.

The source added, “It will be shot in real locations in Africa with some real armed combat battle scenes”.

‘Operation Khukri’ was started to break the Kailahun siege, led by the Indian Air Force. The rescue mission was highly successful and there were believed to be have been no Indian or Nepali casualties.
