SRK: “People spend lavishly on their daughter’s wedding, so why can’t I spend on my film?”
Most of the films he has been involved in have been big budget films. The use of VMX technology, along with intricate action sequences also tend to fall into the big budget group, and it seems this is the only way Shah Rukh Khan wants to work.
When asked about spending big on his films, Deccan Chronicle reports the actor-turned-producer explain, “I believe every film I do is like my daughter. People spend lavishly on their daughter’s wedding, so why can’t I spend on my film? Let whatever I am doing for my daughter, be nice, and inshallah, the money will follow.”
His latest release ‘Zero’ has had a mixed reaction with the audience, where it has also struggled to make it big at the box office. Despite this, Khan isn’t afraid of taking risks and trying new things. Talking about his status as the King of Bollywood, he went on to add that he wouldn’t have earned it if he did the same things all the time. “I have succeeded with things that I never knew would succeed. I also feel that if you really are the king, you should have the choice to make your own choices. A king without choices is not a king at all,” he expressed.
Khan will next be seen in the Rakesh Sharma biopic directed by Mahesh Mithai. News has it that it was Aamir Khan who suggested Khan take on the role.
