SRK on intolerance remarks: “My statements are misconstrued”

Several BJP leaders recently severely condemned Shah Rukh Khan for his remarks over ‘intolerance’, but Khan remained silent. However, when the chaos has finally ended, the superstar has clarified the actual meaning of his statement.

In a recent interview with to NDTV, the ‘Happy New Year’ (2014) actor said, whenever he talks over any issue, his statements are misconstrued and he lands into trouble.

Expressing pain over the same, Khan said, he never stated that India was intolerant.��Clarifying the same, he said, “On being asked to comment over intolerance, I refused, but on being prompted again, I just said that the youth should concentrate on making it a secular and progressive country.”

He further claimed that people like to believe what they want to and no one can change that perception.
