SRK on his next role: “I am working on two or three scripts”

Ever since Shah Rukh Khan’s last film, Aanand L Rai’s ‘Zero’ (2018) bombed at the box office, there have been countless rumours surrounding his next film. Although Khan, by self admission, is taking some time off, and spending time with family and travelling, his fans can’t keep calm because they want to see the superstar back on screen.

The latest rumour doing the rounds is that Khan has signed an action film. However, the star took to Twitter recently to clarify that he hasn’t signed any film as he wrote, “It’s always nice to know that in my absence & behind my back , I have surreptitiously signed so many films that even I am not aware of!! Boys & girls I do a film when I say I am doing it….otherwise it’s just post truth..”

However, yesterday, during the Ted Talks India launch event, Khan opened up about his next film as he said that he is working on two to three scripts and he will announce his next film in a month or two. A few days back, reports suggested that Khan will be doing a Hindi remake of Quentin Tarantino’s ‘Kill Bill’ (2003), reports Pinkvilla. However, there has been no confirmation on the same. During the event, Khan said, “I am thinking and taking some time. I am working on two or three scripts and, Inshallah, as soon as they are ready, I am ready. Because most of the people with whom I am working are busy so, Inshallah, I will announce it myself. I feel till the time rumours are floating around, it’s good because some of them have given me ideas.”

Furthermore, Khan, who will soon be celebrating his 54th birthday said that there was one film people said that “I am going to do — Tarzan and Jane and now, I really want to do the role of Tarzan (laughs). But no. I think, Inshallah, in another month or two, I will figure out everything,” he concluded.
