SRK not conventional leading man in Gauri Shinde’s next

When it was announced by producer Karan Johar that Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt would be starring with Alia Bhatt in Gauri Shinde’s next directorial, many would have raised their eyebrows at a romantic pairing. Shinde herself, not long after, confirmed that they would not be romantically linked as such.

A source spoke to Bollywood Hungama, “It’s a story of a spunky spirited girl and how her life changes when this older man comes into her life.”

The source added, “They do not pretend to be in a normal alliance by acting younger/older. Alia is 22 and Shah Rukh is 50 in Gauri’s film”.

The film will see Khan and Bhatt together for the first time.
