SRK-Gauri reportedly “devastated” at Aryan Khan’s ongoing stay in prison

Shah Rukh Khan and his family are going through a difficult time due to his son Aryan Khan’s arrest in a drug case. Aryan was arrested after the NCB conducted a raid following a tip-off about drug use in a Goa-bound cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.

Aryan has since been moved to Arthur Road Jail last week along with the other accused people. And whilst Shah Rukh and wife Gauri Khan have kept away from the media spotlight, reports say the couple are privately devastated as they did not expect their son to be in custody for so long.

According to reports, Shah Rukh has been spending sleepless nights, following up on the case and maintaining contact with NCB officials on his son’s well-being. Indian Today quoted a source close to the family saying, “It didn’t dawn on them that this will go on for such a long time. While the news of the arrest sent shock waves through the industry, SRK immediately sought legal advice on the matter dialing up some of the best experts in the country. Satish Maneshinde was approached, and he gave SRK the confidence that Aryan would be out sooner than expected. However, that wasn’t the case as the court rejected his bail plea on the grounds that it was ‘unmaintainable’ and that news really shook the family.”

The source added, “Gauri and SRK make multiple calls throughout the day to check on his health. Even though there is no direct access to Aryan, information on his well-being is conveyed to the family. There even was a request made to send home-cooked meals and his personal belongings to Aryan.”

The report also stated that the star is not likely to issue any official comment or statement on Aryan until the matter is settled and he’s back home.
