SRK brings back nostalgic memories of ‘Pardes’ song in ‘Dance+ 4’

Shah Rukh Khan is known for expressing his appreciation whole heartedly and this was once again proved on the sets of Star Plus’ hit show ‘Dance+ 4’ where he was with his co-stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif to promote ‘Zero’.

Winning hearts once again with his infectious energy, warm persona and fabulous sense of humor, Khan’s heartfelt gesture left someone speechless and surprised and it was none other than but super judge Remo D’souza. It so happened that after a group V-Unbeatable’s performance on ‘Meri Mehbooba’ from ‘Pardes’, King Khan came on stage and shared an interesting anecdote that this song is very special to him and was shot on the same floor 21 years ago!

He further mentioned that there was one boy wearing a blue jumpsuit who was dancing behind him in the song and he didn’t even know his name and the same person went on to become an accomplished choreographer and made India’s first dance based series ‘ABCD’.

Capturing his inspiring journey as a background dancer, to an accomplished choreographer and film-maker in Bollywood, Khan expressed his appreciation for Remo’s hard work and his successful journey and surprised Remo when he told him that today they will dance on the same song 21 years later but this time Remo will take the lead and he will dance behind him. SRK did the same as he danced behind Remo amidst thunderous applause from the audience.

Khan mentioned, “21 Years ago, on this very set when we were shooting for Pardes song ‘Zara Tasveer se tu’, there was this guy who was wearing a blue jumpsuit and dancing behind me and I didn’t even know his name. Nobody knew that this boy will went on to become what he is today and Remo has achieved great heights of success because he believed in his craft and passion. And I am telling all this because Remo’s journey has been an inspirational story and if you work hard, you can also become like him. Right from that song to choreographing us in Zero, his kindness, goodness and hard work has paved the way for him to be where he is today. Remo uses the artists personality amazingly in the choreography and I want to thank him for the way he has created Mere Naam Tu song in Zero.”

D’souza who was left stunned and overwhelmed after this heartfelt gesture shared, “I am completely speechless and this is clearly the best moment of my life.”

‘Dance+ 4’ airs weekends at 20:00 on Star Plus.
