Eid releases have always been associated with Salman Khan. However, this year the clash will not involve him at all. In a break to thenorm, Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are set to battle it out and they are working hard to complete their respective films on time.

Both ‘Chennai Express’ and ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2’ are slated for release on 8th August. Sources reveal that both Khan and Kumar are doing long shifts to make sure their films are ready on time. A source close to Kumar told Hindustan Times, “Akshay and the unit (of Once Upon_) have been shooting at nights. They۪ve also been dubbing throughout the day to make up for lost time. This way, once the shoot is finished, the film can straightaway go into post-production”.

A source close to the ‘Chennai Express’ team revealed, “The team has just wrapped up a long schedule in Wai (in Maharashtra). To save time, SRK conducted all his business meetings on location. Now, they have taken off to Munnar without taking a break between the schedules. Shah Rukh has also not taken up any other projects”.

Respective sources have also confirmed that the two actors have tried not to take on any other commitments aside from the films.
