Sriram Raghavan refuses to tone down ‘Badlapur’; given adult rating

Sriram Raghavan has been adamant that he will not be editing any sex or violence scenes in his next ‘Badlapur’, instead preferring an adult certificate.

Mumbai Mirror reports that the Central Board Of Film Certification watched the film yesterday. The report adds that the makers were advised to tone down love making scenes between Varun Dhawan and his on-screen wife, Yami Gautam, plus a scene, in which Dhawan hammers a man to death. However, Raghavan decided against any changes to these scenes.

It will be interesting how the film will be received by Dhawan’s flock of young fans. The report said it was awaiting a response from Dinesh Vijan and Sriram at the time of filing the article.
