Sridevi’s last rites still expected to be performed today

The funeral of late Bollywood legend, Sridevi is expected to take place in India later this evening, despite delays in the actress’ body being released to her family.

Femina India reports that her funeral will take place at 19:00 in Mumbai at Pawan Hans crematorium. There have been delays in repatriating the body of Sridevi as postmortem results seemed “inconclusive”. It is believed a second postmortem has been ruled out. Other formalities are taking place, so that Sridevi can be flown back to India from Dubai.

Sridevi was in Dubai for a family wedding. Reports suggest she collapsed in her hotel’s bathroom on Saturday evening, after which breathed her last.
