Sridevi’s death certified as “accidental drowning”

In further sad news for fans of Sridevi, the death certificate issued by authorities in Dubai have said she died from “accidental drowning”.

Khaleej Times reports that the death certificate mentions the cause of death as “accidental drowning”, which contradicts reports that the veteran actress died from a cardiac arrest. Traces of alcohol were also found in Sridevi’s body, according to Gulf News.

Her body is set to moved to the embalming unit in a short while.

Sridevi’s last rites are expected to take place later this evening in Mumbai.
