Sridevi to be immortalised in Switzerland

BizAsiaLive.com has learnt that last actress Sridevi is set to be immortalised in a statue in Switzerland.

“Many of Chopra’s films featured Switzerland as a backdrop and he is credited with boosting the popularity of the Alpine nation among Indian tourists. Now, considering Sridevi’s role in promoting tourism here, there is a proposal to honour the actor by having her statue here,” said a close source to the Chopra family, according to Hindustan Times.

The actress shot for Yash Chopra’s ‘Chandni’ (1989) in the country. She sadly passed away in February in Dubai.
