Asian TV and radio broadcasters have lined up special shows to air on Diwali, this Friday 9th November. We bring you a guide to what you can expect.

Sonia Deol (6-9am) presents a very special Diwali special show on BBC Asian Network. Reporters will be out and about in Southall talking to members of the Hindu and Sikh community on how they’ll be celebrating Diwali and Sonia will be speaking to Jay Sean in the studio about his Diwali plans.

There’s also reports from Mumbai on the two big Diwali film releases ‘Om Shanti Om’ and Saawariya’. BBC Asian Network presenters Raj and Pablo will be back fresh from the Premiere of ‘Om Shanti Om’.
