Soundtrack of Mukhtar Sahota’s ‘Ishq My Religion’ released

UK based Mukhtar Sahota’s soundtrack composition of Punjabi film ‘Ishq My Religion’ has been released.

The film directed by Gurpreet Dhillon, sees the filmmaker team up with Sahota after the success of ‘Jatt James Bond’ (2014). Sahota known for his unique sound has stepped outside the norm of a Punjabi film soundtrack for ‘Ishq My Religion’ and has featured an array of singers and lyricists.

Having almost every Bollywood film featuring a Punjabi song in it, Sahota suggested on a Hindi song in this soundtrack. The director was more than happy with the suggestion, which fits the film’s situation very well – Rangi Gaye by Mussarat Abbas.

The singers featured in ‘Ishq My Religion’ are the Nooran Sisters, Sunidhi Chauhan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Arif Lohar, Mika Singh, Mussarat Abbas, and Sonu Nigam singing in Punjabi! The lyricists featured are S.M Sadiq, Shammi Jalandhari, Jasbir Cheema, Balvir Ahiyapuri and Late Manzoor Jhalaa.

‘Ishq My Religion’ is a musical love story where religion becomes a barrier for true love and introduces fresh faces in the main lead, Bobby Dhillon and Simrrann Sabarwal alongside renowned actors, Mukesh Rishi, Rahul Dev, Yaad Grewal, Aman Dhaliwal, Yashpal Sharma, Mahreen Kaleka, Dolly Minhas, Vikram Sirohiwall and Rana Jung Bahadur.

‘Ishq My Religion’ is out at cinemas now.
