It’s been a bit of a limbo with many films since last year but it seems that one of the films that is much-awaited could release in August in theatres – it’s none other than ‘Sooryavanshi’.
The film was supposed to release last year and has since had a number of release dates confirmed until the situation with the pandemic in India began to worsen. However, the good news is that there could be a release of the film in theatres on 15th August. Box Office Worldwide reports that Reliance Entertainment have been in conversation with exhibitors about this date and the film’s release.
It’s thought that Reliance have said that they wouldn’t be paying any Voluntary Provident Fund charges and this could well become a new normal as releases are planned ahead of ‘Sooryavanshi’, should the deal work. The sharing percentage per week is also apparently increasing.
The team are awaiting the return of director Rohit Shetty who is currently in South Africa for ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’.
