Sooraj Pancholi to play Indian boxer in unnamed biopic

Sooraj Pancholi is gearing up for his fourth film, in which he will be seen playing an unnamed Indian boxing legend.

According to DNA India, the sports biopic is set to go on the floors by the end of this year. Talking about the film, he said, “I auditioned for the film. I sent a couple of self reels to the director, producer and literally begged them to cast me because I am a huge fan of the script. I always wanted to do a biopic, especially one on sports.”

Work on the movie has already begun, he added, “It’s not only physical training but since the film has a rural setting, the diction is different as well. I have been practising it daily.”

This is the actor’s fourth film after his debut ‘Hero’ in 2015, followed by his upcoming releases ‘Time To Dance’ and ‘Satellite Shankar’. He said, “We just have to film two more songs for it. Also, Satellite Shankar is ready and is slated to release on September 6.”
