Sooraj Pancholi on Jiah Khan: ” None of the allegations have been proven”

In a recent interview, Sooraj Pancholi opened up about how the ongoing case into the death of ex-girlfriend Jiah Khan has impacted him personally and professionally.

Speaking to SpotboyE, Pancholi who is returning to the big screen with his next film ‘Satellite Shankar’, four years after making his debut with ‘Hero’ (2015), said the last seven years have been really tough, “We haven’t laughed at the dinner table. None of the allegations against me have been proven. So, whatever has been written against me is false. It’s just that I have been quiet. I have stayed mum because I want the court to decide what’s right and what’s wrong. I don’t want to pass a judgment on myself saying ‘Oh, I’m innocent’.”

Pancholi also shared how the allegations have affected his professional life too, saying he feels harassed with the whole court case as those who have accused him for Khan’s death (Rabia Khan, mother of the ‘Nishabd’ (2007) actress) have apparently not shown up to any of the hearings.

Asked if he feels film makers are not approaching Pancholi for films due to the pending court case, the actor said, “I don’t have to prove myself innocent. They have to prove me guilty which I don’t think they can. So, they are not showing up in court. This is just pure harassment.”

Directed by Irfan Kamal, ‘Satellite Shankar’ is slated to release in cinemas on 15th November.
