Sooraj Barjatya-Salman Khan film confirmed

Sooraj Barjatya has confirmed that he is working on a new family movie, which will star his favourite ‘Prem’ – Salman Khan.

Even though Barjatya said that the scripting of the film is complete, he denied reports that it will be known as ‘Bade Bhaiya’. The film’s name will be officially announced at a later date.

The film will mark the return of Khan to family films after a slew of comedy and action movies including ‘Dabbang’ (2010) and ‘Bodyguard’ (2011).

Barjatya’s last directorial was ‘Vivah’ (2006) starring Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao, which proved well at the box office. He has been working on TV shows recently including ‘Yaahan Mein Ghar Ghar Kheli’ on ZEE TV and ‘Jhilmil Sitaaron Ka Aangan Hoga’ on Sahara One.

Khan and Barjatya have worked together previously on huge Bollywood blockbusters such as ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ (1989), ‘Hum Aap Ke Hain Koun’ (1994) and ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ (1999).

The new Barjatya-Khan movie goes on the floors next year. Other cast details are yet to be confirmed.
