Sky has added on-demand content for Sony TV and ZEE Network channels in the UK via its ‘catch-up’ service.

It seems the broadcasting giant has only softly launched the service as the choice of on-demand shows seem minimum.

While, Star TV has a range of shows available with old episodes, ZEE TV has just old episodes of ‘Dance India Dance’ available. Sony, labelled, Sony Liv is the only broadcaster to have six of its main weekday primetime shows available from the previous two weeks. It also has weekend shows available.

It is believed that broadcasters are keen to add more content on the service before promoting it. Also, on-demand content, could also prove a hindrance in the ratings game where Asian TV channels are already struggling from live television viewing.
