Sony Entertainment Television Asia has snapped up UK exclusive rights of the forthcoming Tri-Series cricket being played between India, Sri Lanka and South Africa.

The series includes two tests and seven One Day Internationals. The first test will begin on 27th July. The second test starts on 4th August and the one dayers begin on 14th August.

It has been sometime since cricket was last aired on Sony and so this news will no doubt have brought huge relief for the channel. UK Asian channels rely heavily on big cricket events, even more so when teams such as India and Pakistan are playing.
