Sony TV wields it axe on ‘Ladies Special’

Sony Entertainment Television Asia has decided to axe ‘Ladies Special’ in an effort to boost its ratings.

The channel, which has recently begun delivering positive numbers after months of turmoil, will be ending the daily series later this month.

The news of the show going off-air has surprised many as it was doing well for the channel. According to TellyChakkar, the new developments recently introduced in the show failed to generate the desired ratings.

A source said, “Yes it is sad that one of the best shows of the channel is going off-air and the worst part is that the actors are not even informed about it. They came to know when promos of the new show Jeet Jayenge Hum began airing with a telecast date of 14th December in the Ladies Special’s slot.”

So as things stand now, ‘Ladies Special’ ends on Sony TV on Wednesday 9th December to make way for ‘Jeet Jayenge Hum’, which starts on the following Monday (14th December) in the same slot.
