Sony TV UK to premiere Amitabh Bachchan’s sports drama ‘Jhund’

Sony TV has confirmed the UK television premiere of Amitabh Bachchan’s sports drama ‘Jhund’.

This is the first time after a hiatus the broadcaster will air a movie. Up until now, Sony Pictures Networks has strictly aired films on its movie channel, Sony MAX.

‘Jhund’ is based on the life of Vijay Barse, a retired sports teacher who founded an NGO called Slum soccer. The film will premiere on Saturday 2nd July at 16:30. It will also air on Sony MAX, on Sunday 3rd July at 19:00.
