Sony TV to launch ‘Shubh Vivah’ this month

Sony Entertainment Television Asia will be launching its new primetime property, ‘Shubh Vivah’ later this month.

The UTV produced drama is a remake of the award-winning South Indian show ‘Metti Oli’. ‘Shubh Vivah’ revolves around the lives and pains of a father and his five daughters.

About the launch, Santosh Nair, COO of UTV Television, said, “All the shows that we have remade have been hits down south. We have been lucky that the audiences have accepted them well, because to suit the taste of the Hindi audiences we have to incorporate a few changes in the original.”

‘Shubh Vivah’ stars Eijaz Khan who was last seen on Sony TV’s show ‘Bhaskar Bharti’. Rakesh Bedi will be playing the father to five daughters, played by Neha Narang, Shafaq Naaz, Vinny Israni, Krutika Gaikwad and Neha Janpandit.

‘Shubh Vivah’ launches on Monday 27th February at 19:30 and will run Monday through to Thursday.
