Sony Entertainment Television Asia will be launching a new drama, a remake of superhit Tamil show ‘Metti Oli’.

‘Metti Oli’ is a story about five daughters who stay with their father after their mother passed away.

‘Metti Oli’ has proved a huge hit with viewers in South India. It’s currently the longest running Tamil series. The show is also doing well in its Malayalam and Telugu formats.

The Hindi version stars Eijaz Khan (pictured), Neha Janpandit and Rakesh Pandit.

It will replace ‘Chajje Chajje Ka Pyaar’, which has failed to generate any decent viewership.

‘Metti Oli’ is likely to commence on Sony TV at the beginning of August.
