Sony TV to launch new horror series ‘Aami Daakini’
Sony TV is set to bring a fresh wave of horror to screens with its upcoming series, ‘Aami Daakini’. Known for redefining the horror genre in the 90s with ‘Aahat’, the channel is preparing to launch the much-anticipated show in the coming weeks.
At the heart of the story is Dakini, a mysterious and tormented soul portrayed by the talented Sheen Dass. Trapped between life and death for decades, Dakini embarks on an unyielding quest to reunite with her lost husband. Her journey, fueled by grief, longing, and the pain of injustice, forms the emotional core of the series.
Speaking about her role, Sheen Dass shared in a recent interview, “What excites me most about this show is its unique blend of horror, mystery, and raw human emotions. Playing Dakini is particularly challenging because she isn’t just a vengeful spirit—she carries a painful past. I had to undergo intense character study and preparation to bring her depth to life. Her emotions are deeply rooted in trauma, making her a multidimensional character. I can’t wait for the audience to experience her journey.”
