Sony TV sets launch date for ‘Indian Idol 3’

Sony Entertainment Television Asia has announced the launch date of its big property ‘Indian Idol 3’.

The mega new series will premiere on Friday 4th May at 21:00. This series entertains a new panel of judges who promise to whittle down the thousands of contestants to one, who will be crowned the new Idol.

Rajan Singh, Executive Vice President for International Business commented “This year we held open auditions in the UK and Dubai for Indian Idol. The winners are being flown over to Mumbai to compete in the competition. With the new judges and a more dynamic mix of contestants the third season of Indian Idol promises to be nail biting right to the final.”

The eagle-eyed judges of ‘Indian Idol 3’ ��� the reigning melody king Udit Narayan, the ‘Kajra Re’ girl Alisha Chinai and the evergreen Anu Malik will judiciously screen thousands of aspirants and help select that “one voice” who will become the pride of the nation. Joining this distinguished panel of judges is none other than the critically acclaimed lyricist ��� Javed Akhtar.

In addition to a recording contract with Sony BMG, the ��Indian Idol�۪ will be awarded a contract with Sony Entertainment Television Asia worth One Crore Rupees, thus catapulting him/her to unparalleled stardom. The new idol will experience a jet set lifestyle, mingling with the stars and follow their dreams of becoming professional singers.
