Sony TV releases info on ‘Indian Idol 4’

Sony Entertainment Television Asia has announced it has signed up actress Sonali Bendre as a judge on its latest series of ‘Indian Idol’, which starts in the coming weeks.

Bendre was incidentally a part of Sony TV’s other show ‘Mr. & Miss TV’. She will join regulars Anu Malik and Javed Akhtar on the panel. Kailesh Kher has also been roped in to form the new series.

Contestants from the last series Meiyang Chang and Deepali Kishore have been named as hosts for the initial auditions process of the show. A channel spokesman said if viewers respond positively towards the two, they may be considered as permanent fixtures for the show.
