Sony TV now axes ‘Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah’

Sony Entertainment Television Asia has decided to do away with its primetime drama ‘Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah’ after poor ratings in the weekday 20:00 slot.

The show is being axed on Thursday 2nd September, just three months after its launch. ‘Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah’ has been struggling in the ratings due to competition from leaders Colors, Star Plus and ZEE TV in the same slot.

It was earlier reported that actress Archana Taide who plays Anmol was going to be replaced. Well, looks like Archana will stay put until next month now. Producer Siddharth Tewary confirmed about the show going off air saying, “The show didn۪t work and we decided to end it.”

The channel will also be ending ‘Godh Bharai’ in the primetime slot. Sony TV has found it tough going recently with primetime fiction shows so it will be interesting to see what it plans to do next as replacements for these shows.
