Sony TV HD & Sony MAX HD prepare for tests on Sky

Sony Pictures Networks’ two channels, Sony Entertainment Television and Sony MAX are preparing to launch in High Definition on Sky in UK.

BizAsiaLive.com understands that two test labels have appeared on the Sky platform but are yet to be identified. Further details of the exact parameters will be published on BizAsiaLive.com in the coming days.

Sony Pictures Networks will have two HD channels in the UK, while rival broadcasters have just one – Star Plus HD, Colors HD and &TV HD. Currently, ZEE Network has no HD channel but is expected to launch ZEE TV HD sometime later in the year.
