Sony TV HD & Sony MAX HD officially launch on Sky in UK

Sony Pictures Networks has become the first UK Asian TV broadcaster to launch two HD variants of its flagship services.

Sony Entertainment Television HD and Sony MAX HD are available on the Sky platform, replacing SD version of the two channels if Sky customers have access to the Sky Box Sets subscription. Sony TV HD is available on EPG 782 and Sony MAX HD can be accessed on EPG 798. The SD channels have been moved to 866 and 867 respectively.

Sony TV HD boasts of a huge line-up of shows including ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, ‘Beyhadh’, ‘Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi’ and ‘The Drama Company’. In weeks to come, the channel will also air ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and ‘Dus Ka Dum’ in glorious HD quality.

Similarly, Sony MAX has a slate of blockbuster movie titles lined up, which include ‘Sachin – A Billion Dreams’, ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ and a number of other recent blockbusters and classics such as ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Dilwale’, ‘Silsila’, ‘Kabhi Kabhie’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ to name just a few.

Sony TV HD and Sony MAX HD have joined Star Plus HD and &TV HD, which are also available in the Sky Box Sets bundle.

Incidentally, Sony TV, Sony MAX, Sony Mix and Sony SAB TV have joined the Sky Original Pack as of today. They will be available along with other channels to all Sky subscribers. B4U Movies, B4U Music, ZEE TV, ZEE Cinema, ZEE Punjabi, &TV, Zing and MTV Beats are all other channels available to Sky subscribers.
