Sony TV confirm details for BASA 2010

The ninth British Asian Sports Awards (BASA) will be taking place on Saturday 6th February 2010, organiser Sony Entertainment Television Asia has confirmed.

The event will be held at The Grosvenor Hotel, London.

Charity organisation Change4Life will once again support the awards, for the second year running.

The details were unveiled at a glitzy ceremony this evening. This was the second such event held today by the broadcaster. The first was this morning’s to announce the new branding for MAX Mix to “View Asia” and Sony TV and B4U Movies being a part of the bundle.

This year, the BASA Sports Personality of the year award went to cricketer Samit Patel. The award was collected by Mr Patel, father of Samit Patel.
