Sony TV announces tweaked new prime time schedule

Sony Entertainment Television has announced new changes to its weekday programme schedule, effective from Monday 4th June 2018.

As BizAsiaLive.com revealed, two new weekday non-fiction properties ‘Dus Ka Dum’ and ‘Zindagi Ke Crossroads’ will be launching in the middle of the primetime schedule. As well as these, the current line-up of fiction shows will also be moved around and it will add new fiction ‘Dil Hi To Hai’ to the schedule.

From Monday 4th June, ‘Mere Sai’ will move to 19:00, followed by ‘Vighnaharta Ganesh’ at 19:30 and ‘Porus’ at 20:00. New shows ‘Dus Ka Dum’ (Monday – Tuesday) and ‘Zindagi Ke Crossroads’ (Wednesday – Friday) will air between 20:30 – 22:00. New fiction ‘Dil Hi To Hai’ by Ekta Kapoor, will launch in the 22:00 slot, followed by ‘Yeh Un Dino Ki Baat Hai’ at 22:30, ‘Yeh Pyaar Nahi Toh Kya Hai’ at 23:00 and ‘Crime Patrol’ at 23:30.

Talking about the changes, SET EVP and Business Head Danish Khan said, “This year looks quite promising for Sony as we are launching a lot of shows. We are focusing on offering content that is interactive in nature and engages the audience. We are offering shows which the audience can relate to and we are also looking into digital integration for our shows. We are giving 50% importance to digital for all our non-fiction properties.”
