Sony TV acquires ‘The X Factor’ for Asian audiences
Sony Entertainment Television Asia has acquired the rights for the Asian version of hit British show ‘The X Factor’, BizAsia.co.uk can exclusively reveal.
The hit show produced by Simon Cowell will form a part of the channel’s autumn/winter line-up after other hit shows ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja 3’ end.
‘The X factor’ will be the channel’s second huge big buy format for a singing talent show after ‘Indian Idol’ (Pop Idol).
Other details of the show remain sketchy but remember where you read about this first. The channel refused to divulge any other details of the show saying it was too early to comment.
