Sony TV acquires ‘Dhoom 3’ for Rs. 75 Crore?

Sony Entertainment Television Asia’s parent company Multi Screen Media has forked out an astronomical Rs 75 crore for the exclusive satellite rights for ‘Dhoom 3’, according to reports.

The film, which stars Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Aamir Khan is the third installment in the hugely popular Yash Raj Film franchise.

Yash Raj Films refused to divulge any information saying, “We wouldn’t like to comment on any speculation.” Meanwhile, Multi Screen Media has rights to all Yash Raj Films – except ‘Lafangey Parindey’, which was sold to Viacom18 – Colors.

‘Dhoom 3’ releases at the end of this year. It will be telecast within six months after its theatrical release.
