Sony to show Parineeta & ZEE Vaah Life Ho Toh..

The competition to show the latest movie blockbusters on TV channels is heating up as days go by.

Prime example of this is with B4U and ZEE Cinema both securing the rights of this year’s hit movie No Entry. Both channels hyped up the movie’s screening with B4U pulling out all the stops by showing the movie everyday on rotation for a whole week and then broadcasting it free on Saturday night – the same time as competitor ZEE Cinema’s airing.

The latest round on channels fighting for movie rights is with ZEE Network grabbing hold of the telecast rights of the yet-to-be released movie Vaah Life Ho Toh Aisi, which stars Shahid Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Amrita Rao. The romantic comedy hits cinemas on 23rd December and ZEE Cinema will air the movie within four months of its theatrical release. The same applies to films Kyon Ki and Garam Masala, which ZEE has also acquired.

Sony Entertainment Television Asia, on the other hand has announced that it will be screening the mega hit of this year Parineeta. The romantic costume drama starring Saif Ali Khan will air on New Years Day at 20:00.
