Sony snap-up rights for cricket series

Sony Entertainment Television Asia has won live and exclusive cricket rights to broadcast India taking on Sri Lanka and South Africa in two major One Day International Series?.

The news was confirmed by Rajan Singh, Executive Vice President, International Business.

Singh commented, “Once again Sony has proven itself to be the TV channel that is the home of South Asian international cricket. We have an undisputed history of showing top quality cricket on a consistent basis and this time around we have secured two major ODI series which will delight our viewers across the UK and Europe. We look forward to bringing live ball by ball coverage of these fantastic games.”

SET Asia?s coverage of the two series will span over five weeks starting on 25th October and will consist of India taking on Sri Lanka in 7 one-day internationals followed by India battling it out with South Africa in 5 one-day internationals.
