Sony set to launch Marathi channel in India

Sony Entertainment Television is reportedly working on a new Marathi entertainment channel to bolster its regional offerings in India.

According to Indian Television, the new channel will be known as Sony Marathi and will be led by Ajay Bhalwankar.

The report adds that the channel is in its infancy stage, with the company currently building a team to work on the channel. It is expected to launch later this year.

Sony Marathi will join Sony Aath as the second regional offering from the Sony umbrella.
