Sony poised to snap up India vs Pakistan cricket

International viewers of cricket fans are finding the wait unbearable, but a broadcaster of the upcoming India and Pakistan cricket series for the UK will be announced in the next 24-48 hours.

Industry insiders have informed Biz Asia that Asian broadcaster Sony Entertainment Television Asia is set to snap up the rights for the major India and Pakistan series starting Tuesday (8th March). Pakistan will play three Tests in Mohali, Kolkata and Bangalore and six ODIs in Kochi, Vizag, Jamshedpur, Ahmedabad, Kanpur and Delhi.

Executives at Sony Entertainment Television Asia are not confirming or denying these reports but have said that an announcement will be made regarding the telecast of the series within the next few hours.
