Sony Music India brings together 31 artists for World Music Day video

Sony Music India along with 31 artists ring in the biggest celebration of Unity in Diversity on World Music Day.

This World Music Day, Sony Music India is celebrating unity in diversity with a massive artist takeover on its social media pages.

India’s leading record label is home to a variety of artists from across the country who sing in a multitude of languages, and it is this very heterogeneity that sparked the idea for this initiative.

Sony Music India presents #MusicThatMadeMe, an artist-led unit that is centred around paying homage to the music, the musicians and the stories that made them who they are.

Not bound by genre or language, and from their own homes across the country, this video features incredibly talented musicians singing their most well-known songs, while telling their stories.

This marks the first time that Sony Music India has brought together 30 of these cherished artists, to be heard as one.

The roster includes: Pritam, Shaan, Kailash Kher, Shilpa Rao, Papon, Armaan Malik, Aparshakti Khurana, Nikita Gandhi, Jonita Gandhi, Akasa, Aastha Gill, GV Prakash, Leon James, Nikhil Dsouza, Suresh Wadkar, Kavita Seth, Shweta Shetty, Jeet Ganguli, Shivali Bhammer, The Yellow Diary, Himani Kapoor, Shashwat Singh, Sukhe, Dino James, Vivek Mervin, Raga, Rish, Sean Roldan, Aki Kumar, The MXXNLIGHT, and Tesher.
