Sony Mix to launch in Sky Asia Pack

As revealed first on BizAsiaLive.com , Sony Pictures Networks’ Bollywood music channel, Sony Mix, will be launching on Sky this month.

In a further update, BizAsiaLive.com can exclusively reveal that Sony Mix will launch in the Sky Asia Pack later this month. Unlike its competitors, B4U Music and Brit Asia TV, which are available free-to-air in the UK, Sony Mix will be available initially as a Sky Asia Pack channel (costing £15 per month), later which will join the basic Sky monthly Original Pack.

Sony Pictures Networks had acquired the EPG slot previously owned by Geo Network – channel 816. A soft launch takes place on Friday 19th May 2017 exclusively on the Sky platform. This will be followed by regular programming from May-end.

Sony Pictures Networks will spruce up its offerings with four channels – Entertainment channel, Sony Entertainment Television, a movie channel – Sony Max, a light-entertainment channel, Sony SAB TV and now a music channel, Sony Mix. Excluding Sony SAB TV, the other three channels will leave the Sky Asia Pack (along with ZEE Network services) and join the Sky basic pack this summer.
