Sony MAX 2 to replace Sony Mix on Sky in April
Sony Pictures Networks has confirmed to BizAsiaLive.com that it will be launching its classic Bollywood movie channel, Sony MAX 2, on Sky, in April.
As revealed first on BizAsiaLive.com last month, the new movie channel promises a journey of real cinema, which will give viewers a chance to relive memories from yester-years, with captivating stories, dialogues, characters and music that will both entertain and touch hearts again.
Sony MAX 2 will focus on film titles from the 60s to the early 2000 era, with movies such as ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Silsila’, ‘Kabhi Kabhie’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, ‘1942 A Love Story’ and ‘Kala Pathar’, to name just a few.
Sony Mix, which has proved popular in the UK, despite very minimum publicity, will shutdown at the end of this month, to make way for Sony MAX 2 on Monday 1st April on Sky channel 736.
