Sony makes official launch on HomeChoice

Sony Entertainment Television Asia has launched on digital platform HomeChoice.

Rajan Singh, Executive Vice-President for International Business, SET Asia commented, ?Sony Entertainment Television Asia is very pleased to be launching with HomeChoice. With our availability on this platform, our brand of quality family entertainment will now be available to thousands of new subscribers as part of HomeChoice?s offer to Asian viewers. The launch of the channel could not have come at a better time – our HomeChoice viewers will be able to enjoy the second series of Indian Idol, catch our live and exclusive coverage of the Indian cricket team taking on Sri Lanka in a Test series and tune into our brand new winter line up which features Bollywood premieres, first run dramas and more.?

Hugh Williams, Executive Director, Programming, HomeChoice said: ?We are delighted to be able to add Sony Entertainment Television Asia to our platform as part of a whole range of enhancements to our Asian offering. The channel has a superb mix of entertainment programming which I know our customers will enjoy.?

The deal means that as of today, SET Asia will be available as an ? la carte premium service channel. Until today the channel was available as a preview free-to-air to all HomeChoice subscribers.

ZEE TV also launched last month and had been airing for free with encrytion of the channel taking place alongside Sony today.
