Sony Entertainment Television Asia has launched in Germany following the signing of a distribution deal with the pay-TV platform Decimus GmbH of Mainz based cable operator Primacom, it was announced today by Rajan Singh, Executive Vice-President for International Business, SET Asia.

SET Asia is the international feed for Sony Entertainment Television. Singh commented “There is a huge Asian community in Germany and Sony Entertainment Television Asia is very pleased to now be able to bring them the quality programming that millions around the world already enjoy. Viewers in Germany will be in for a real treat straight away as we present India, Pakistan and Australia live and exclusive in the Videocon Cricket Cup from August 21st”.

The deal means that as of 1st August 2004, SET Asia has been available as an ? la carte premium service priced at 9.95 Euros per month. During August the channel will be available free-to-air. After this promotional free month, to subscribe viewers should call Primacom on 01803 77462266.
