Sonu Sood has worked with the late Vinod Khanna in a couple of films and remembers him fondly, BizAsiaLive.com can confirm.
“I have worked with Vinodji in Dabangg and Ramaiyya Vastavaiyya and we have spent so many days together and good times over many lunches and dinners. He was one of the most real, grounded and humble people I know and so full-of-life. He would always encourage me to do better and was a genuine soul. People get corrupted by success and change but in Vinodji, I would always find the same Punjabi guy who had come from nowhere to achieve his dreams. He was a noble soul and his death is a great loss to the film industry, says Sood, according to DNA.
Remembering some more, he adds, “Once while we were shooting in Pune for RV, I had skipped dinner as I had some other work. Vinodji noticed my absence and asked why I wasn’t there. He used to love everyone sitting together and having meals together. He used to tell me, ‘Be real and genuine always, as that will make you more human and make you survive for long.’ I always keep that in mind”.
Khanna passed away yesterday having lost his battle with cancer.
