Sonu Nigam’s mother passes away

A year after being diagnosed with terminal liver cancer, playback singer Sonu Nigam’s mother, Shobha Nigam, passed away earlier today.

Sources close to the singer confirmed that he remained very close to his mother and made sure she had the best of treatment.

Nigam had always been hopeful about his mother’s illness and had chartered a plane to make it easy for her to commute between Mumbai and Bengaluru where she using the Ayurvedic facilities.
