Sonu Nigam: “I’m not a Muslim”

Popular playback singer, Sonu Nigam got himself in a Twitter kerfuffle today after he tweeted about being woken up in the morning by Azaan due to a mosque near his home.

Nigam tweeted that he was not a Muslim and “had to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning”. He branded the loud Azaan as “forced religiousness” and then called it “gundagardi”.
