Sonu Nigam confirms that he is “not a part of” London O2 concert

Sonu Nigam pulls out of London event

Tickets are bought and plans have been underway for many months but to the disappointment and shock of many, Sonu Nigam confirmed on Twitter that he is “no longer a part of” the ‘Dhamaka 2012’ concert due to take place in just a week, on 22nd April.

The concert, due to happen at the O2, has been described as a one-night-only extravaganza and would have seen both Nigam and renowned singer Atif Aslam perform on one stage. It remains to be seen what will now happen following Nigam’s announcement on the micro-blogging site. Nigam’s tweet read, “I’m not a part of the London O2 concert on 22nd Aprl 2012 guys. Just letting u all know. Another time. Love u all and thanks for the support”.

The event, brought about by Flex FX and to be hosted by Bollywood dancers Bolly Flex, has��previously seen the performance of Aslam. In this year’s offering, it��was to see the added spectacle of a joint performance of Nigam and Aslam “for the first time in history”, as stated by the event’s official website.
