Sonia Deol joins Canada’s top Breakfast show

Popular British Asian presenter, Sonia Deol has joined Canada’s ‘Global Morning BC News’ breakfast show.

Deol, a former presenter on the BBC Asian Network and BBC television, will co-host the breakfast show with current host Steve Darling. She joins the team after a long-hunt by the channel to find Darling a co-host. Deol moved to Vancouver when she got married in 2012. She is now also a mother to one child.

At the time of announcing the news last month, Deol said, ���I�۪ve very very excited. Honoured is a word I�۪d use actually. I�۪m genuinely happy because I met the team this morning, Chris, Steve and all the viewers and what I got was a real sense of community and family, both on and off screen.�۝

The ‘Global Morning News’ airs every weekday morning between 05:00 – 09:00.
