Sonam Kapoor to launch The World’s Largest Lesson India

Sonam Kapoor 2

We are delighted to inform you that Indian actor and youth icon Sonam Kapoor will be gracing the launch of the World۪s Largest Lesson India initiative on 5th September.

The World’s Largest Lesson India is a unique initiative to teach all children in India a lesson about the UN۪s Global Goals agreed by 193 world leaders in 2015. These Global Goals are a mighty plan to end poverty, fix climate change and address inequalities by 2030, which includes giving all children the opportunity to gain a quality primary and secondary education.

World’s Largest Lesson India ambassador Sonam Kapoor will join a range of speakers from the UN, education organisations, corporations, civil society, to share their thoughts on how, by working together in partnership and by empowering our children and youth, India can be the global benchmark in eradicating global poverty by 2030. We will also unveil new comics to be used as innovative learning materials for children across India.

In 2016, with the support of GEMS Education, we are planning to educate all children across India about the Global Goals, using new comics and animated shorts specifically created for India۪s children, based on the cartoon characters Chakra the Invincible and Mighty Girl, both created by Stan Lee. Children will take part, to help launch new comics, to be used as innovative learning materials across India.
