There are some actors who feel thatdiplomacy is the key to maintaining a good public image, but the one actor who has always spoken the truth, regardless of theconsequences, has been actress Sonam Kapoor. There has been much written about Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s so called ‘pot-shots’ at each other. Recently Padukone teamed up with directorHomi Adjaniafor a videoon women empowerment. While therehave mixed opinions on it, Kapoor feels thatshe doesn’t need avideo to voice her own opinion.

According to Pinkvilla, Kapoor told the Mumbai Mirror, that feminism has nothing to do with bashing the opposite sex, but respecting yourself as a woman. “Elitist women have always had wrong ideas about feminism. They think male-bashing…hating men…makes you a true feminist. I don’t have to have to make a video to voice my opinions. My actions have always spoken louder than my words. I’m proud to be a woman and I respect my independence. I’m never afraid to give my opinion on any matter. That’s what feminism is about.”

Kapoor is currently shooting for her first Rajshri film, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ with Salman Khan. She had caught the Swine Flu on the film’s sets, and is back to completing the schedule.
